Current-State IT Assessment
The YWCHSB provides compensation, service and support to Yukon workers injured on the job and promotes occupational health and safety through training and workplace inspections in the Yukon. The YWCHSB’s primary IT environment is an on-premises data centre, with some applications and data stores housed by the Yukon government and private data centre providers.
Performance Management Project
Upon completion of the new 2018 – 2022 Strategic Plan, the YWCHSB’s executive team identified the need to evaluate the Board’s existing performance management program for the purposes of reviewing key indicators, metrics, and measures to assess if they are aligned and traceable to the strategic goals and objectives defined in the Strategic Plan. The need was acknowledged for indicators, metrics, and measures that are clearly understood, accurate, and timely. The objective was to clearly identify: the purpose of the indicators, metrics, and measures, and required underlying data; implement quick wins; and develop a go-forward plan to implement high-value changes.
Claims Information Review
As part of their Performance Management Project, the YWCHSB wanted to investigate the quality of claims information to determine if its accurate or complete enough to support planning, operations, and performance reporting and determine the root causes of data quality issues and recommend solutions.
Survey Strategy
YWCHSB was preparing for a review of the primary Acts and Legislation that governs workers compensation, health, and safety in Yukon. This review was expected to include a significant amount of public and stakeholder consultation was planned. In addition, in support of their Results Realization Framework, the YWCHSB had a desire to conduct a survey to assess performance relative to sustaining the trust and confidence of workers and employers.
