Payroll, Human Resources Advanced Systems Enhancement (PHRASE) Project
The LDB required an upgrade from their current version of PeopleSoft HCM, 8.8 to version 9.2 to keep current with technology, take advantage of new functionality, and remain in a supported position with the vendor. In addition, the LDB decided to transition payroll processing, payroll accounting and benefits administration services to the Public Service Agency (PSA). This required detailed process design and significant organizational restructuring.
Wholesale Pricing and Financial Segregation Project
In March 2014, the BC Government mandated that the LDB develop and implement a “new wholesale pricing model”. The LDB’s implementation of the new wholesale pricing model was undertaken as part of the Retail and Pricing Program (RAPP), which included: development and implementation of a new wholesale pricing model; separation of wholesale and retail business activities; development and implementation of a new industry-based hierarchy structure to enable business solutions and reporting; deployment of new state of the art systems; and increasing efficiencies and flexibility of retail and wholesale activities wherever possible.
